Wood yield prediction models for leucaena plantations in the Philippines

Three acceptable yield-prediction models for leucaena plantations in the Philippines were developed in this study. The models provide annual yield estimates that are only 18-25% of earlier estimates by others. This discrepancy is probably a reflection of the source and amount of data used: early estimates were mostly based on measurements of trees either in small patches or in single or a few rows. In contrast, my data come from 156 plots in actual forest plantations.
