Results of investigation on fungicide efficiency in the control of Dothistroma pini Hulbary in Australian pine plantations [Pinus nigra Arn.]
1987
Karadzic, D. (Sumarski fakultet, Beograd (Yugoslavia))
Field and laboratory experiments (on Pinus nigra cultures) showed that the Dothistroma pini fungus, which causes red band needle blight of pine in a great number of Pinus types, can be controlled effectively with the use of fungicides. The best field results were obtained by using copper oxychloride, while Benlate was most effective in laboratory conditions. Greater effectivity of copper oxychloride in the field can be explained by the fact that it remains on the pine needles longer.
