The addition of cypermethrin, in smaller quantities than those usually used for sugar beet protection, stimulates the effect that organophosphorus and thiophosphorus insecticides have on Bothynoderes punctiventris. The effect is manifested more through a nutrition decrease than a death rate increase. Early paralysis occurs lasting a long time and ending with the death of the insects. In this state of paralysis, nutrition is discontinued. By increasing the dose of fenitrothion or monocrotophos by 50%, a further decrease in damages cannot be achieved.
