The reaction of apricot, plum and cherry varieties to low temperatures on several locations in Serbia (Yugoslavia), have been studied. Among the apricot varieties, these demonstrated the greatest resistance: Keckemeter Rosza and Large Early, and the most sensitive were: Blenril, Nugget and Stark Early Orange. Plum varieties Stanley, California Blue and Ruth Gerstetter showed different levels of resistance, depending on different technologies of growing in different localities. Most of the tested cherry varieties showed significant resistance to temperatures below -22'C, in all localities. Somewhat greater sensitivity in some localities was shown by: Oblacinska, Spanska Visnja and Heimanns Konservenweichsel.
