[Pedological distribution of sulphur, phosphorus and iron in some orchards of central Mesopotamian plain]
1988
Al-Rawi, M.K.I.
The nature of the pedological distribution of S, P and Fe in some orchard soils of central Mesopotamian plain and relationships among them were treated and explained by both mathematical and cartographic methods. Variation in characteristics within and among pedons were encountered, due to geomorphic, pedologic, and adaphic factors, parent materials are alluvia, texture ranged between fine to moderately fine, with silt loam, soil reaction varied from (7.7-8.4) for all pedon while electrical conductivity ranged from (1.0-40.5) dsemin/cm percentage of lime (14.32-32.04%), of organic matter (0.14-2.617%) and CEC (7.65-22.65 m.eq/100 gm of soil). As for (S, P, Fe, and N) contents in percentages, they are (0,0004-0.765%), (2.86-5.28%), (0.083-0.179%) and (0.059-0.560%)
