The general formula of N-phenylsulforyl-N'-pyrimidinyl and triazinyl-ureas is presented. The agrochemically acceptable salts of these compounds with amines, alkali metal or alkaline earth metal bases or quarternary ammonium bases have good pre-emergence and post-emergence selective herbicidal properties and growth regulating properties.
