Close scientific cooperation in entomology and studies of plant pests between Soviet Union and Poland is justified by the fact of similarities in entomofauna and plant protection problems. This cooperation is greatly intensified by bilateral direct agreements between Institute of Plant Protection in Poznan and Bielorussian Institute of Plant Protection in Minsk, All-Union Institute of Biological Control in Kishinev, and All-Union Institute of Plant Protection in Leningrad
