It was found that the exposure of tomato leaves by strong quantum flux density of 1500 micro E m exp (-2) s exp (-1) (PAR) for three hours under a normal concentration 330 cu. cm. CO2 m exp (-3) causes a 17 percent inhibition of photosynthesis accompanied by the increase of starch content up to 196 percent in comparison with standard conditions. At high intensity of irradiation and concentration increased to 600 cu. cm CO2 m exp (-3) photosynthesis inhibition rises to 38 percent and starch content to 286 percent. It can be stated there exist a relationship between photosynthesis inhibition and starch accumulation in tomato leaves at strong intensity of radiation and increased CO2 concentration
