Barley yellow dwarf virus: Losses, virus-plant relationship, chemical control of vectors

Losses due to barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV) are presented. The virus-plant relationship, especially the effect on yield of the titer of BYDV in the plant at various growth stages as measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, is discussed, as well as the chemical control of aphid vectors.
