Porcine stress syndrome (PSS) halothane and CK (creatine kinase) test before and after pharmacological stress in weaned pigs

The frequency was established of halothane positive pigs at weight of 25-30 kg. The activity of enzime creatinekinase was tested during halothane narcosis and 24 hours after pharmacological stress. Considerably lower activity of creatinekinase was found in halothane negative pigs than in positive. The same is true for enzyme activity 24 hours after pharmacological stress.
