The weed structure of cocksfoot phytocenosis in the experiment with application of the sewage sludge

This study has included 5 variants of fertilization; control, mineral fertilizers and 3 doses of processed sewage sludge. The following has been established: The increase in the content of organic matter and plant nutrients in the soil, which was a result of the application of mineral and organic fertilizers, and the slower initial growth of cocksfoot, caused an intensive increase of a series of weed species in the first cut. The application of sludge did not have a significant effect on changes in the floristic structure of the weeds. There are no significant differences in the dry matter yields of cocksfoot, obtained after the application of mineral fertilizers and all three doses of sewage (45, 90 and 135 m /ha).
