On the basis of the obtained results of the effect of alive born piglets in litter on some properties of fertility in German Landrace, Yorkshire and their crosses, it could be concluded: Litters with small number of alive born piglets (1st group) have increased number of stillborn piglets in comparison with litters which have average number of alive born piglets (2nd group). Increased number of live-born piglets (3rd group) influenced the increased number of weaned pigs in litter, with simultaneous increased losses of piglets in suckling period. It could be suggested that litters with average number of liveborn piglets have most favourable investigated properties of fertility.
