On some aspects of external and internal parity of prices of agricultural products [Yugoslavia]

When discussing the general state of agriculture in Yugoslavia, especially its economic position, both in the organizations of associated labour and their associations, and in the state organs and parliaments, most criticism is directed to the system and the policy of prices of agricultural products, particularly to their mutual relationship (parity) and disparity in relation to the non-agricultural sector. Opinions on the existence, size and consequence of these disparities are different, therefore an attempt has been made in this paper to consider some aspects of internal and external parity of agrarian prices. However, before analyzing the movements and the relations of prices the author is giving a short review on the basic characteristics of the system and the policy of prices of agricultural and food products.
