Meristems originating from 2 leaf primordia of the "x" sour cherry clones and the stem tips or meristem of "Oblacinska" sour cherry clone were used as starting isolates for culture. Optimum nutritive conditions for the initial stage of growing were established for each clone. Multiplication of shoots was achieved by forming axillary buds on mineral solutions, MS and QL containing growth regulators (in mg 1- ): BAP 1.0, IBA 0.1 and GA3 0.1. Rooting was stimulated by decreasing the concentration of mineral solutions MS or W in the presence of IBA twice. In relation to the clone, phloroglucinol or quercetin and in some cases ascorbic acid were added to the culture medium. This method could be used for production of virus-free cherry plants.
