The influence of intensity level on productional and financial effects of edible oil material production

This paper discusses the influence of investment level on productional and financial effects of edible oil raw material production on the basis of a sample of 46 productional units and total area of 27000 ha distributed in the republic and autonomous provinces in Yugoslavia as well as on bookkeeping data and secondary calculations for 1985. It was estimated, using methods of systematized table analysis, characteristic feature groupings and contrasting, that increased investments cause higher yields but now always higher profitability because highest investments (except for sunflower) lead to losses. For that reason an estimation was made on levels which prove reasonable for investment. Yield increase, as a rule, increases financial effects estimated on the basis of accumulation/ha and accumulation rate. From the viewpoint of profitability it may be concluded that sunflower and rapaseed may withstand the competition of other crops, except for soybean.
