Toxicity of dipterex to major carp spawn

Static bioassays were performed to determine the toxic effects of dipterex to three species of major carp spawn. Dipterex was tested at 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 ppm concentrations. No mortality was recorded in the test animals below 1.5 ppm dipterex. Concentrations above 2.0 ppm were found to be lethal. Toxicity of dipterex was more at higher pH. The results indicated that dipterex at the concentration of 1.0 ppm is safe for the major carp hatchlings.
