Alternaria blight of mustard and its control [in Bangladesh]

Six different fungicides - Dithane M-45, Thiovit, Rovral, Cupravit, Sporgon and Sportak and an insecticide Rogor were evaluated for their efficacy in controlling alternaria blight of mustard. Out of the fungicides tested, Rovral, Sporgon and Sportak either alone or in combination with Rogor showed significant effect on alternaria blight. Dithane M-45 also gave good result. Altogether 125 germplasms/lines/cultivars of mustard were screened under field condition but none of them were recorded to be immune, resistant or even moderately resistant.
