Growth rate and breeding biology of Indoplanorbis exustus Deshayes (Pulmonata : mollusca)

The breeding biology and growth rate of Indoplanorbis exustus was studied under laboratory conditions. During this study, mating behaviour, ovulation and fecundity were observed mainly. The fecundity was 17 to 60 and the regression line between fecundity and body height was linear and the equation was Y+-685 x 9.36 X. The average growth rate of this species was recorded as 0.42 mm in height per day.
