Performance testing of Charolais breeding bulls on a milk producing dairy herd

Five Charolais breeding bulls were performance tested in a dairy herd. The results were the following: the differences in live weight indices and bony meat production did not barely surpass 5 o/o and could not be proved statistically. The daughters of the breeding bulls produced the same results in the fattening characteristics as the sons. On the basis of these results there were no differences between the fathers. The most significant difference between the breeding bulls' progenies showed itself in the quantity of tallow.
