Resource data especially that relating to land use, resource conservation and management has been collected and a data bank developed by the Department of Resource Surveys and Remote Sensing (DRSRS) in Kenya. A series of workshops was organised by the DRSRS to bring together planners, district officers and researchers for an open discussion on how planning needs for research and human settlement could be attained and communicated in the best ways. Results and recommendations from the workshops are given in this paper
