The response of the zooplankton to the discharge of heated waters into Lake Slesinskie and Lake Goslawskie was studied. The most significant change in the functioning of Lake Slesinskie, as compared to unheated lakes, is an earlier change of the zooplankton structure into one which is typical of the summer period. In Lake Goslawskie, the disturbance of the seasonal succession typical of unheated lakes consisted in an earlier dominance of summer forms
