On soil of good rye complex and cereal-fodder weak once, influence of doses of nitrogen in kg/ha: 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 on the yield of faba bean seeds and barley grain as aftercrop plant was investigated. Influence of nitrogen doses on the yielding of faba bean and amount of biologically fixed nitrogen was estimated in comparison to the yield of maize, which is not able to reduce nitrogen from air on biological way. Yield of barley grain as aftercrop was compared with barley yield barley got by direct application of mineral nitrogen. Significant increases in faba bean seeds yield and protein content under doses of nitrogen were observed. Yield of barley grain was significantly higher after faba bean than maize as forecrop and as well as by doses of nitrogen applicated for forecrops. Amount of nitrogen harvested with barley grain was significantly higher after faba bean than maize what can indicate that part of nitrogen taken up by barley might came from nitrogen stored in soil by faba bean as forecrop was equal 25 to 50 kg/ha of nitrogen applicated as mineral fertilizer directly for spring barley
