The research work in the 1987/88 production year conducted to improve the sustained production of small ruminants in upland Baluchistan, Pakistan, is reported with reference to the livestock production systems of upland Baluchistan, production constraints and research opportunities, exploratory economic technology screening for sheep production improvement in Baluchistan, research to improve range forage resources by range rehabilitation or grazing management, research to increase ruminant productivity by improved livestock management, research to increase animal feed resources, and identification of social organization and communication patterns in rural communities for effective agricultural extension
