Experiments were carried out in 1989 with several wheat varieties treated with fungicides: Calixin + Tilt, Folicur EC 250, Folicur plus and Bayleton EC 125. Ecologic conditions were unfavourable for the development of parasites and for demonstrating the efficiency of fungicides but varietal specificity was very prominent. Out of the total of 16 wheat varieties, statistically justifiable positive differences in the total yield increase were obtained only with some varieties and treatments. Positive influence of the treatment was extered significantly more on the parameters of yield of 1000-grain mass and hectoliter mass than on the total yield. From the economic, ecologic and toxicologic standpoint, treatments should be justified.
