The results obtained over the past period showed that none of the preparations used could ensure satisfactory result, i.e. a 100% eradication of parasites was not possible. Similarly to other authors, we are inclined to explain this fact by the tolerance to preparations developed by parasites. The application of preparations in the optimal period of time (September-October) when the parasites are most numerous, is likely to reduce their number significantly and ensure a satisfactory situation on entering into the winter. It should be stressed though, that, in addition to the aforesaid, veterinary-hygienic and apitechnological measures represent an important component of the fight against Varroa jacobsoni.
