The following histophysiological changes were observed in animals which were exposed to detergents: The basal membrane of the seminiferous tubules is mostly wavy, vacuoles appear adjacent to the basal membrane. Sertoli cells are somewhat larger with vacuolized cytoplasm, while germinative cells exhibit nuclei picnosis. Leyding cells have indistinct borders with poorly visible nuclei. The histochemical reaction to proving DNA and RNA, as well as lipid matter, is expressed more strongly in experimental animals. Histoenzymic reactions to nonspecific esterases, succinodehydrogenase, MAO and acid phosphatase are stronger in all experimental animals. The obtained results demonstrate the harmful effect of this complex chemical compound on the histophysiological characteristics of the seminiferous part of the testes, as a result of the cumulative effect of detergents.
