Addition of Lactiferm preparation in feed mixture for turkey fattening positively affected total turkey body weight by 2.36 % or 8.17 % (experimental variants 3 or 5) at decreased feed consumption by 4.85 or 11.65 %. Variation in AST and ALT transaminase activities as well as in urea content in blood serum of experimental turkeys indicated its relation to the rate of nitrogen metabolism. It was statistically significant. Series of experiments with Lactiferm application confirmed the possibility of including this preparation in feed mixtures for turkey fattening as a substitution for Nitrovin in which mutagenic and carcinogenic properties were found.
