A 3-year study was conducted at Korivos, Peloponisos, with eight tomato cultivars for processing, to evaluate yield performance and quality characteristics. No significant difference was observed, between the varieties, in the yields, during 1983 and 1985, but there was a significant interaction between cultivars and years. T2 improved, Rio Fuego and Rio Grande were among the top yielding cultivars, with a yield of 11473, 11339 and 10841 Kg/stremma respectively. Although all eight cultivars possessed satisfactory processing and quality characteristics, Campbell 38 was evaluated as the best, especially in agronomic characteristics and in pH, soluble solids, acidity and vitamin C.
