Milk production, processing and marketing in Guyana.

This study was set up to concentrate on the source aspects of milk production and processing at the farm or rural level in Guyana. This is aimed at identifying from the producer's standpoint the limitations to marketing in bulk or retail his milk production and to determine the actions required to encourage milking of animals otherwise kept for beef purposes only in spite of having the potential for contributing to farm income. The findings and recommendations of the study which will help, to remove some of limitations from the farmers' standpoint are also presented.
