The performance superiority in the basic and estimated standard valued characteristics of Hungarian Fleckvieh performance tested bulls, suitable for breeding expresses itself on the base of "Qualifying index" (Im) and fullbreeding value (progeny test) number (FBV-1) alike: the first shows a 9,8 and 14,5 o/o, the second a 11,5 and 19,1 o/o superiority. The correlation is significant, middle and strictly positive between the single examined index numbers and the performance's basic data. The probable total value of the breeding bull applicants can be expressed more unequivocally and exactly by the method adapted from the French test examination experiences. This fact expresses itself - on the level of populations - also in the greater dispersion value of the FBV-1. The comparative evaluation of the beef-type Hungarian Fleckvieh part-populations, according to qualifying categories (average, good, very good, excellent), is convenient and effective for small individual numbers too. The difference between the single qualifying categories is of a growing tendency in the FBV/1. It is proposed to determine the qualifying limits of the breeding bull applicants with an index number of 106 in farm performance tests.
