Effect of light intensity and plant age on root exudate for some crops on germination, early growth of two bread wheat cultivars. Triticum aestivum L.

This study was initiated to examine the effect of root exudates of maize, chickpea and rape using different light intensity and plant ages on germination percentage. Different light and three ages of the crop (maize and chickpea) inhibited seed germination and seedling growth of two wheat cultivars, but less inhibition under some stimulation was found in the rape seed. The similar results appeared in the soil previously sown with the three crops, under different light and ages. Mexi-back was more resistant than Abu-graib in the soil previosly sown with maize and rape seed, while Abu-Graib was superior when sown in the soil previously infested with chickpea, the microorganisms were highly present in rhizosphere then non-rhizosphere, and the number of bacteria declined when the light intensity decreased and increased when the plant age increased
