The theories of the workers' cooperatives in ideas of Saint-Simon and Charles Fourier

This paper examines the theories of the workers' cooperatives in ideas of Saint-Simon and Charles Fourier. These two old thinkers are called "Utopian Socialists". We think that they are exactly "Utopian Socialists". But we can watch some noteworthy ideas in their theory. The one is a theory of the workers' cooperatives. They studied, probably for the first time, the workers' cooperatives among many thinkers. They could not clear up the theory. But their successors cleared up the theory step by step. In this paper, we study on two of their successors, Bazard (1791-1832) and Cosiderant (1808-1893). Bazard is a successor of Saint-Simon, and Cosiderant is of Fourier. Why do we have to go back to those thinkers? The answer is that the point of view on "Utopian Socialism" by Marx and Engels is not always correct. At present, the Japanese agricultural cooperative is facing many problems. The method which will solve those problems was not found out. We think that theory of the workers' cooperatives gives us many hints
