In a 3 x 4 factorial arrangement in a completely randomized design, keeping quality of the mixture of rice straw (RS) and brewer's spent grains (BSG) was studied with three chemical combination and four durations of storage. The lime (L) and urea (U) combinations were: 0% L + 0% U, 3% L + 2% U, 5% L + 0% U while the four storage lengths were: 0, 30, 50, and 70 days. The RS-BSG mixtures were fixed at 45% dry matter content. The silage was well-preserved with 3% L + 2% U until 70 days while mold growth and excessive soilage were observed with the control and 5% L-treated group. Inclusion of 3% L + 2% U resulted in higher (P0.05) pH of RS-BSG silage, lower (P0.05) dry matter and crude protein on days 30 and 50. In vitro dry matter digestibility increased (P0.05) with 3% L + 2% U treatment for 50 and 70 days.
