On 14 years old plantation of Halle Haselnut and Loddiges Barcelone cvs it was proved that early sprays commenced in May or June and continued for 1.5-2 months every 2 weeks are more effective than those starting later in the season. The highest efficacy was obtained with the spray program starting at the end of May or beginning of June when the tip of nut appears in the husks
