The relationship between the decade sums of the precipitations, temperature of soil and the population dynamics in Microtus arvalis was tested by the Spearman's correlation coefficient. The significant correlations were frequently noticed for the sums of the winter and spring precipitations and somewhat rarely of the soil temperature
