The paper is based on the opinions and data derived from rather well developed rural communities. Those villages were to become shortly models of the ones representing multifunctional development. The present situation has deteriorated notably life opportunities of persons resident in the rural areas. The deep economic recession has caused as well deterioration of the prospects of the willing to live by farming. They are the grounds for the assumption that the problems of providing gainful employment for the rural population will repeatedly make the subject of empirical research
