Yield trial of groundnut [Arachis hypogaea] cultivars at Hat Yai in 1984 [Thailand]

Yield trial of eight groundnut cultivars was conducted at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai, in the 1984 mid-rainy season. These cultivars were the Regional Yield Trial entries which have been tested at several locations and several seasons. The top yielding entry was ICG 402 NCAcc 2651. This cultivar outyielded the check entry Tainan 9, had high numbers of mature pods (14.8 pods/plant), and had medium seed size (48.6 gm./100 seeds). Pod and seed yields of this cultivars were 2591 and 1439 kg/ha., respectively.
