In vitro and in vivo development of frozen-thawed rabbit morulae
1986
Mongkol Techakumphu (AHTSO., Bangkok (Thailand))
Capacity of development of frozen-thawed rabbit morulae (-196 deg.Celsius) was compared to the unfrozen embryos. The in vitro development of frozen-thawed morulae was similar to that of the control (83 vs 86 %). The same results were observed after transferring these embryos in synchronized recipients, 55 % of survival for frozen-thawed morulae compared with 63 % for control. The in vivo development tended to decrease after transfer to recipients ovulating 17 or 24 h. after the donors (47 and 33 %, P0.05). The deep freezing does not affect the further development of embryos.
