Uganda country study on costs, benefits and unmet needs of biological diversity conservation
1992
A country study report on costs, benefits and unmet needs of biological diversity conservation in Uganda. Describes the species richness of plants and animals in Uganda and gives a provisional list of species numbers totalling 18,430, most of the endemics being regional rather than national. Lack of information about species numbers and genetic diversity is cited as a problem. A sustainable policy for the conservation and rational use of biological diversity, research and financial support are required to attain sustainable development.
