Study on the effect of elimination of processing stage on yarn quality [in Bangladesh]

A process has been developed for spinning hessian type jute yarn by eliminating finisher card from the normal sequence of processing. A number of experiments was carried out with different grades of fibres and 276 tex yarn was spun on the Apron draft spinning frame. It was observed that the elimination of Finisher card in processing of high quality fibre did not deteriorate the yarn quality markedly vis-a-vis normal processed yarn.
