The isoenzyme spectrum of malate dehydrogenase isolated from dry soybean seeds, grown under conditions of nitrogen, boron, sulphur and potassium deficiency and stored for periods of one to five years was investigated. It was found that nitrogen and partially potassium deficiency affected the malate dehydrogenase spectrum only in the year of harvest, which is manifested as an enhancement of the activity of some individual isoenzymes. No direct correlation was observed between seed storage period, seed viability and isoenzyme spectrum of malate dehydrogenase in the variants of mineral deficiency investigated.
