Impact of trawl abolishment on fish production and fish price at Pangandaran (an application of MITS model)

This study is an analysis of time series data, April 1978-September 1985, by means of MITS model. The study aim is to know of fish production and price on the time prior to and after enforcement of Keppres 39/1980. The result shows that there was no statistical difference of fish production and price as consequence of trawl ban. Nonetheless, fishing fleet has been structurally changed. The result implies that small scale fishermen have had bigger opportunities of fishing and running their business
