Rhyzogenesis in oil palm plantlets

The success in oil palm plantlet transplantation depended on the root condition as those in good condition would experience only short tranplantation shock. Liquid and solid media were used for rhyzogenesis in the experiment. The liquid medium gave 80-90 percent live plantlets compared to only 50-60 percent with solid medium. The growth of stem leaves was better in liquid than in solid medium
