The effect of source and dosage of potash fertilizer on growth and yield of hot pepper in relay cropping with shallots

This experiment was conducted in a farmers field on alluvial soil in Brebes from July until November 1989. The objective was to evaluate the effect of source and dosage of potash fertilizer on growth and yield of hot peppers in relay cropping with shallots. Treatments were 0, 50 and 100 kg potassium per hectare: sources of potash fertilizer were KCl, ZK and KMgSO4 (Kamas). Randomized Block Design with three replicates was used. Result showed that 50 kg K2O per hectare improved plant height and number of branches; KCl at a rate of 50 kg K2O per hectare increased number of fruits but KMgSO4 (Kamas) at a rate of 50 kg K2O per hectare increased total yield
