Efficiency of fractionation of lucerne, clover and grass meal as well as low fibre fractions in diet for growing pigs

An equipment for mechanical fractionation of lucerne meal (L), grass meal (G) and clover meal (C) to decrease by 42 percent of fibre content was used. An experiment on 120 pigs fed a diet containing 4-16 percent of L, C or G fractions during the growing from 30 up to 110 kg of body weight was carried out. The digestibility of crude fibre in L and C diets was significant better than in G diet. The significant lower weight gain and feed conversion efficiency in pigs fed the G diet than in those given the L or C diet was stated. The effect of sex on pig productivity was observed
