Effect of deltamethrin on fry of carp. Pt. 1. Effect of sublethal doses of deltamethrin on the activity of alanine and aspartate aminotransferases in internal organs and blood serum of carp (Cyprinus carpio L.)

A 24 hrs exposure of fish to deltamethrin at 1 x 10 exp (-4) mg dm exp (-3) generally caused no changes in the activity of the enzymes. A 4 day exposure caused an increase in the activity of both enzymes in the liver of spring fry, at a high level of AsAT in the serum and increased AIAT in the excretory kidney. A 30 day action of deltamethrin at that concentration characterized by a decrease in the activity of both enzymes. Transferring the fish into pure water resulted in the reversal of the effect of deltamethrin in 4 days in case of preceding intoxication at 1 x 10 exp (-4) mg dm exp (-3), and in 30 days in case of the concentration of 1 x 10 exp (-5) mg dm exp (-3)
