The phenolic compound contents in leaves of four mangold cultivars characterized by various susceptibility to Pegomyia betae were examined in the two-year field experiment. The significant changes in phenolic compounds in leaves were observed as a result of P. betae feeding on studied cultivars. Nevertheless the scope of those changes in the tested cultivars was different
