Dates of flowering of some important honey plants in Poland in the years 1946-86

Based on 3842 records taken in 860 apiaries throughout Poland in the years 1946-86 average dates of the onset of flowering for 16 species of honey plants in Poland were calculated. A substantial variation was found for flowering dates among the nation's regions (from south to north and from east to west) and a very large variation from year to year. The variation from year to year was described and its nation-wide, region-wide and apiary-wide model distributions were developed
