In the years 1987-89 investigations were carried out on light soil near Cracow. Their aim was to determine the effect of variable nitrogen fertilization and sprinkling irrigation on yield and quality of winter triticale "Grado". In four repetitions five variants of nitrogen fertilization from 0 to 150 kg/ha and two water ones - without irrigation and irrigation according to regional precipitation requirements were applied. Considerable rise of yielding and low changes in chemical composition of investigated grain under the influence of nitrogen fertilization and irrigation was found. Increase of total protein content and its yield was noticed too
