1992
Martyniak, L. (Instytut Melioracji i Uzytkow Zielonych, Falenty (Poland))
The experiments were conducted in controlled conditions at IMUZ Falenty green house from 1986-87. The following factors were studied: plants - var. Henika, Kadett; soil - light, heavy; irrigation - smaller water doses applied more frequently, and the higher ones applied more rarely. The experiments were performed in the cement basins 1x1 m, exactly isolated from the background, filled up with soil to depth of 1.1 m in accordance to soil field profile 1980. The high dependence of grain quality on the soil type was found. The total protein content in the grain was higher when the same wheat plants were cultivated on the light soil. The wheat grain exhibited better technological parameters when they were obtained in conditions of water deficit
